OUR PEOPLE
Matthew Pankhurst
Managing Director
Matthew has worked in Wellington’s building industry for almost 25 years, bringing a practical, hands-on understanding of construction from the ground up. He is a Qualified New Zealand Carpenter and holds a current Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) licence in Carpentry, including Site 1, Site 2, and Site 3.
With broad experience across both residential and commercial projects, Matthew is well placed to lead teams, manage complex builds, and ensure quality and compliance are maintained at every stage.
Approachable and easy to work with, Matthew’s positive, solutions-focused style helps keep projects running smoothly for everyone involved.
Darin Beveridge
Site Manager / Lead Carpenter
One of Matthew’s longest-standing colleagues, Darin has been part of the team since the early 2000s and has left his mark on countless builds along the way. Years spent hands-on across every stage of construction have given him deep practical know-how and genuine craftsmanship, which he carries into each job — whether it’s a home renovation or a commercial fit-out.
Clients and trades alike know Darin for doing things properly: dependable, detail-driven, and never satisfied until the finish is right. That experience makes him a steady presence both on the tools and through project delivery. Easygoing and quick with a laugh, he keeps morale high on site, and his down-to-earth, team-first approach is a big part of why people enjoy working alongside him.
Eiran Tobin
Lead Carpenter / Site Manager
Eiran has spent many years at Matthew’s side as a Lead Carpenter and Site Manager, and that time has shaped him into one of the team’s most capable all-rounders. He knows Wellington’s renovation and new-build scene inside out, and understands exactly what it takes to reach a high standard on every job.
Day to day, he’s the one keeping site operations ticking over — organising trades, watching the programme, and making sure work is done safely and to a finish everyone can be proud of. The carpentry crews naturally look to him for direction, and he leads by setting the tone: calm, hard-working, and genuinely invested in the people around him. His approachable manner and focus on looking after the team help create a site people actually want to turn up to.
Tito Abejon
Lead Carpenter
Tito is a seasoned builder whose workmanship speaks for itself across a long list of completed projects. He pairs real hands-on skill with natural leadership and a standard he simply won’t drop. Rain, hail or shine, he shows up with the same can-do attitude and a determination to see every job done right — and when problems crop up on site, his steady, practical approach keeps things moving.
As an experienced hand, he’s trusted to run crews and coordinate the day’s work, keeping everyone pulling in the same direction. With Tito on the tools and leading the team, projects stay on schedule without ever cutting corners on quality.
Glen Oaksey
Project Co-ordinator
With more than a decade in project co-ordination, Glen is the person who keeps everything joined up — from early planning right through to handover. His background spans administration, programming and delivery, and he relies on sharp organisation and clear communication to stop the small things from becoming big ones.
Detail-focused and technically minded, he’s just as comfortable supporting clients as he is backing the on-site team, and he takes real satisfaction in beating deadlines rather than simply meeting them. Glen has a knack for making complicated jobs feel manageable, always chasing the solution rather than dwelling on the obstacle. Approachable and genuinely invested in a great result, he’s a valued part of every project he touches.
Dan Whiting
Project Co-ordinator
Dan joins the team with a strong background in hospitality and commercial bar fit-outs, honed on both sides of the Tasman across New Zealand and Australia. That grounding in fast-moving commercial work gives him a real feel for keeping a complex project coordinated without letting quality or the client experience slip.
He works shoulder-to-shoulder with clients, suppliers and the on-site crew to keep things running efficiently and finishing to a high standard. Friendly and easy to deal with, Dan is the type to go the extra mile when it counts. His reliability, commitment and upbeat attitude make him a genuine asset on every job he’s part of.
Jamie Docherty
Administration / Programming
Jamie is the team’s technical brain and first call for anything IT-related. Coming from an administration and programming background, he keeps the business running behind the scenes — building out construction programmes one minute and sorting the crew’s day-to-day systems and tech the next.
He has a real talent for untangling tricky problems and tidying up the processes around them, which keeps projects organised and everything moving as it should. Whether he’s refining a workflow, looking after the systems everyone relies on, or lending a hand to a teammate, he turns up with a practical fix. Endlessly curious and genuinely fired up by a good problem to solve, Jamie brings energy to every challenge — and his know-how, reliability and readiness to help make him hard to do without.
